She has always loved Halloween. It is a night when magick is in the air. A night when witches fly across the sky, ghosts are seen, and pumpkins glow in the moonlight.

Slowly it comes with a slight chill in the air. Then you notice your favorite tree’s leaves are starting to turn from deep green to golden yellow. The sound of geese flying across the morning sky while Jack frost begins to nip.

 

The excitement within your soul grows and grows as apples become abundant. The smell of autumn lingers in the air while pumpkins are placed upon the stoops, hoping a child will stop there. Yes, it is the most wonderful time of the year…

 

Halloween!

Halloween is the one holiday throughout the year that has no age limit. The youngest child, eyes aglow, is more curious than the black cat in the pumpkin patch. The child within remembers the treats while the teen recalls the tricks. For one night throughout the entire year, we allow the childlike selves to come out once again.

 

In 2024, Gilly arrived to remind us that the season is for the young and old and all in between. She shall not show her face, for she is a reminder of the child that lives within all of us.

For betwixt and between, it is Halloween.
