I call to the man who resides within the forest

I am the daughter of the Earth who summons you forth

To remind me Mother Earth does not belong to thee

But I belong to Mother Earth.

 

For the forest is my church

A place of silence upon this Earth

Where the beauty of thee is seen

And the voices of the trees are heard.

 

 

Upon the wind a voice we heard. A gentle voice with a sound as though it were the wind itself.  A rustle of leaves and a little creek, the voice said…

 

“I am the wind beneath my leaves. I am the air that you breathe. I am the voice of a thousand years… will you not welcome me to your lair?”

 

With open arms, in 2008, we welcomed our dear friend Woodie with his light.  He does not appear, not until the night he shall speak...

 

“Do not cut the trees…” he shall plead. “For you and me, we are family!”

 

His message is pure and simple, without Woodie and his fellow trees – we would not be.
